Explore the traditional craft of glass making

At 25 years old, I have channeled my lifelong passion for art into becoming a dedicated glass artist. In May 2024, I took the leap to establish my own glass blowing business after gaining invaluable experience working in various studios. I meticulously design and create every piece of glass myself, traveling to a hot shop near Slough to execute my craft. After shaping the glass, I complete my work in my parents' garden, dreaming of the day I can open my own hot shop and studio in Northamptonshire.

My vision includes offering classes, demonstrations, and creating original pieces. Currently, my inspiration stems from the beauty of nature and wildlife, as well as the intricate designs found in William Morris prints. Each creation reflects my journey and the influences that have shaped my artistry.

My Story

I founded Summer and Me Glass, a unique venture dedicated to creating beautiful pet memorial glass and stunning pet portraits. The inspiration behind this being my dog Summer who sadly passed away.

From a young age, I have always been passionate about creativity and the joy of making things, which naturally led me into the enchanting world of glass blowing.

My journey began at De Montfort University, where I pursued a design crafts degree and honed my skills in glass making and various other media.

After graduating with a first-class degree, I worked as a glassblower's assistant in Surrey, immersing myself in every stage of the craft while learning and assisting experienced artisans. After two fulfilling years, I returned to Northamptonshire with the ambition to establish my own practice.
